Through the Lens of the Fujifilm X100VI
Welcome to my blog! This is where I’ll be sharing images captured with the Fujifilm X100VI, the best-selling camera of 2024.
I first discovered Fujifilm’s magic with the X100V, a camera that’s become a favourite for its blend of compact design, retro charm, and stunning film-like simulations. These cameras have this unique ability to bring a certain mood to photos, which feels almost nostalgic, yet fresh. When the X100VI was released earlier this year, I couldn’t wait to dive in and see what new features it brought.
With luck on my side, I was able to get my hands on the Fujifilm X100VI right when it launched—on my birthday, no less! (Stayed up until 3am to preorder, lol) After setting it up and getting familiar with its features, I set off to explore what this new camera could do and how it could help me capture the world in my own way. I come from a lifetime of shooting with Canon cameras so shooting with Fuji was going to be an exciting challenge.
Over the past 10 months, I’ve been experimenting with different recipes and simulations, trying to bring out new layers of creativity in my photography using this gorgeous little piece of tech. On this blog, I’ll be sharing a selection of those images, along with the settings and recipes used to achieve each one.
